Equine services LLC provides endoscopic procedures both in-house and in the field.

Endoscopy is using a small camera at the end of a flexible tube to take images of a desired area/structure.  These include upper and lower airway, pharyngeal structures and guttural pouches.

Due to the sensitivity of these structures your horse may need to be restrained with either a twitch or sedation to better view the affected structures.

Some problems that may be identified with endoscopy inclue

  • Respiratory disease
  • Guttural pouch mycosis/infection
  • Upper/lower airway lesions
  • Ethmoid hematomas/tumors
